My doctor told me not to try Vaginal Steaming, why?
Many doctors and nay sayers are simply unaware of the facts of herbal steaming. The most common concern expressed by doctors and OBGYN’s is burning and/or disruption of internal flora. Much like anything with hot water, common sense and attention to detail will assure you of a safe and healthy experience with wonderful benefits. In regard to the natural flora, often many woman’s symptoms are the result of an already unbalanced flora and steaming will bring the internal environment back into balance.Back to Index

Can I steam if I have an IUD?
Because an IUD is an intrauterine device, there is always the chance that the IUD could shift or dislodge. Women have reported good success steaming with a copper IUD. We do not encourage steaming with a plastic or metal IUD. However, Nourished Woman recommends that individuals be mindful of their own body and symptoms. Steaming can be very helpful for issues that present with IUD use and should you decide to try steaming with an IUD, steams need to be short and carefully monitored. **If your IUD is in place as an attempt to alleviate menstrual symptoms, note that steaming alone can resolve these issues and eliminate the need for an IUD.Back to Index

This brings relief, reduced cramping and eventually can help women suffering from this condition to experience monthly cycles that no longer prevent them from living their daily lives.Back to Index
